The Tennessee Truffle

A great example of a chef and their team focusing on doing a few things exceptionally well! It's a small, cozy place, so be sure to get your reservations in ahead of time. The appetizers were delicious and for entrees, we had the lamb chops, seared salmon, shrimp & grits, and the special red snapper. All were excellent and we can't wait to be back!

Me and my husband loved this place. A little bistro in the charming downtown of Sanford. Everything is so fresh and comes from local farms. The dishes are so well balanced, the flavors of each dish are an explosion. You can feel the chef hard work on developing his beautiful menu.

Went to the The Tennessee Truffle tonight. Absolutely phenomenal food and service. Tried just about everything on the menu and I have to go back for the rest. Not pictured is the dessert that I didn’t have room for but oh so happy I did because it was divine. Didn’t even know this place existed and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to find it.

Stopped in for coffee and drinks; love everything about this restaurant. Good prices and great atmosphere. The server was exceptional and made our visit. We will definitely return just because the service was so amazing.

This was my second time dining at Tennessee Truffle in Sanford, Florida, and once again, it did not disappoint! The location is perfect—easy to access with plenty of parking. The restaurant may be small, but its quaint, cozy, and romantic ambiance creates the perfect setting for an intimate dining experience. The service was excellent. Our waitress was not only kind and polite but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Speaking of the menu, it’s always evolving, making every visit feel like a new experience. It’s as if you’re attending a private catered event at your own home in Tennessee. The live jazzy, bluesy music only added to the atmosphere, making the evening even more special. Now, the food—absolutely incredible. From the appetizer to the dessert, every dish was elegant and meticulously prepared. The chef decomposed the menu into something both approachable and sophisticated, delivering a level of quality that was simply magnificent. Each course felt like a culinary experience worthy of a top restaurant in Italy or upscale New York. The highlight of the evening was having the chef come over to chat with us. It was such a pleasure to personally express how much we enjoyed his creations. The attention to detail, the flavors, and the overall experience make Tennessee Truffle a must-visit when in Sanford. A definite 10/10

Wow! This is the experience in dining downtown Sanford. Get a reservation and strap yourself in a seat. The limited menu made it difficult to choose from all of the delicious fare. Decided on the shrimp and grits with no regrets, started with the salade du jour and finished with ice cream. Check this place out when you're in town.

My mother and I had a phenomenal dining experience here. We showed up for dinner without a reservation, and we were able to sit outside. Every dish we sampled was creative and tasted incredible. They serve elevated, Southern inspired cusine. The watermelon salad was so refreshing, and the blue corn hoecakes were uniquely scrumptious. The salmon was crackling with crispiness on top and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend dining here.
